REBECCA SULLIVAN FOR UTAH HOUSE DISTRICT 75
Why am I running:
I am running for the Utah State Legislature, District 75 because I believe that the people of Utah deserve
representatives who listen to their constituency. The current Utah Legislature has thwarted or delayed
the clearly expressed will of their constituents.
My background and career have prepared me to serve the people of Utah Legislative District 75 as their representative by listening and acting in their best interests.
I grew up in Ogden and started my career with the IRS Service Center. As a divorced single mother of two young children, it was important that I advance in my career. I worked hard, went to college at night, and was promoted to increasingly responsible positions with the IRS. After 25 years of service I retired as a GS 14 Associate Chief of Appeals, with a group of 12 Administrative Judges and six Auditors reporting to me.
After retirement I became a Financial Advisor for Prudential Securities before traveling the world,
enjoying many diverse cultural experiences. I volunteered to teach English in foreign countries, worked with hospitals in California, and in Ogden I volunteered at a women’s shelter, hospice, and served as a rape victims advocate.
